Does India need a dictatorship???
I know this shall attract nauseating comments from the junta, but c'mon people, give this a serious thought. Has our country not forgotten the value of democracy? Do we not take our freedoms for granted? I think its high time we realised the importance of it all. And that, I think can only be done if they are taken away. Didn't it take an Indira Gandhi to make people realise how important freedom of expression is? Didnt it take an Arjun Singh to make them realise how impotant the freedom to choose is? Our's is inherently a very docile nation. We never get up and get something done, we always wait for things to happen, and crib about them in our living rooms. We always react, never act, and sometimes dont even react!
We always need an electric shock to recover from the slumber we are in. We always say, "Bharat Mata ki Jai", but to we ever sit bact and reflect, what are we doing to make "Bharat Mata", vijayi? We always say, Indians this, Indians that, we laways take pride in the fact that a Kalpana Chawala, whose ancestors moved out of India eons ago, was on board the Columbia, and at the same time we are at our wit's end thinking of ways to derive personal/political mileage out of Budhia's plight.
Sure, we should be, and are, proud of the acievements of the expatriates, but have we ever thought, why were they not so successful in India? Would LN Mittal have been there, had he decided to stay in Kolkata for the rest of his life? Sure we do have a Dhirubhai Ambani, but for each one Dhirubhai, we have a million Harshad Mehtas, the repurcussion of a crooked mind.....
C'mon India... wake up... think...

So true dude....
Hey we do need dictatorship.. But in the long run, it has never worked out at all.. The world is full of examples of this - Idi Amin, Castro (As much as I admire him for his anti-US stance, still Cuba deserves lot better), Bashir etc... All are examples... We need a fair and non-corrupt govt (ideally saying so)..
Indians donot realize that Chawla and others came up because of their hard-work and not because of the fact that they were Indians who received better facilities. Temme, how many times did we hear facts like "Indians run the US economy", "Indians are the most brainy fellas in the whole world", "Indians are more skillful than their American counterparts" etc. All sucn rubbish makes us complacent and we feel Kalpana succeeded as she was an Indian wih better facilities.
yeah...i do believe that india shud have a dictator...i would like to ask one question...that we all know that we have a real gud skilled labour...we are among one of d best technocrats...n we r among one of the best developing nations...but still
why does india act like an under dog???why it is getting suppressed by d supreme powers???why india needs advice frm thier power hypocritic frnds???...to resolve all this question...i think there shud be a dictator who should have the courage to take the right decisions and that dictator should have the freedom to raise his voice without the intervention of others...he should be able to represent the thoughts of the youths of india...n he should also have the personality to change the approches and perception of the society...
and one more thing...i would like point out here...that taking the example of the present scenario...we are having a democratic government...n therefore there is a multy party system in india...evry indian is aware of the fact that if the ruling party wants to do something
good or for the benefit of the indians then there is a pressure from the other opposing parties...so in that case....a concept of the dictatorship can resolve this issue also...
