Does India need a dictatorship???

I know this shall attract nauseating comments from the junta, but c'mon people, give this a serious thought. Has our country not forgotten the value of democracy? Do we not take our freedoms for granted? I think its high time we realised the importance of it all. And that, I think can only be done if they are taken away. Didn't it take an Indira Gandhi to make people realise how important freedom of expression is? Didnt it take an Arjun Singh to make them realise how impotant the freedom to choose is? Our's is inherently a very docile nation. We never get up and get something done, we always wait for things to happen, and crib about them in our living rooms. We always react, never act, and sometimes dont even react!
We always need an electric shock to recover from the slumber we are in. We always say, "Bharat Mata ki Jai", but to we ever sit bact and reflect, what are we doing to make "Bharat Mata", vijayi? We always say, Indians this, Indians that, we laways take pride in the fact that a Kalpana Chawala, whose ancestors moved out of India eons ago, was on board the Columbia, and at the same time we are at our wit's end thinking of ways to derive personal/political mileage out of Budhia's plight.
Sure, we should be, and are, proud of the acievements of the expatriates, but have we ever thought, why were they not so successful in India? Would LN Mittal have been there, had he decided to stay in Kolkata for the rest of his life? Sure we do have a Dhirubhai Ambani, but for each one Dhirubhai, we have a million Harshad Mehtas, the repurcussion of a crooked mind.....
C'mon India... wake up... think...
